Rape And Blackmail: Police Arrest One More Accused

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Police on Monday arrested one more accused identified as Ali involved in rape and blackmailing racket unearthed four days ago. Police have till now arrested four among six accused involved in the racket.

Earlier police had arrested prime accused Farhan Khan, Saad and Sahil Khan. DCP Zone-1 Priyanka Shukla said Ali, a resident of Aishbagh area was arrested following a raid and is being questioned further. Police officials said that Ali fell down and broke his leg as he tried to flee during police raid at his hideout at Nizamuddin Colony.

Ali and Farhan are co-accused in a case registered against them at Ashoka Garden police station for raping a minor victim. Investigations revealed that the duo was in a relationship with two orphaned sisters. Ali was in an affair with the minor sister whom he drugged and left alone with Farhan in a room.

Farhan raped the minor and shot her obscene video. It was Ali who used to arrange marijuana and drugs for Farhan and other accused, police officials added.

However, two of the accused Nabeel and Abrar both from Bihar are still on the run. Police officials said that teams have been sent for their arrest. Meanwhile, police produced Farhan, Sahil and Saad in court and sought their remand. Farhan's three-day police remand ended on Monday. 

Cops take out parade 

Police publicly paraded Farhan, Saad and Sahil in Bag Sewania area on Monday before taking them to the court and made them do squats outside police station.

Accused assaulted at hospital, district court 

Members of a Hindu organisation attacked Farhan, Sahil and Saad while they were taken to JP Hospital for medical examination. The activists who were present at the hospital surrounded the accused as they alighted the police vehicle.

Police somehow rescued the trio and put them back in the vehicle. Police had a tough time rescuing the three accused when a group of people attacked them at the district court. Eye witnesses said one of the accused was beaten black and blue as policemen struggled to take them to the courtroom. 

Ali sent to police remand till May 2

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): District and Sessions court, Bhopal has awarded police remand for Ali till May 2 while Judicial remand for Saad alias Shamuddin till May 11.

Both were produced in court amidst heavy police deployment as lawyers as well as Hindu outfits tried to manhandle these love-jihad accused. Additional district public prosecutor (ADPO) Deepti Patel informed Free Press, ‘Ali has been given police remand till May 2 while Saad was sent to judicial remand till May 11.’
