Over 5,000 Recite 'Karma Yoga' As Bhopal Hosts First-Of-Its-Kind Gita Path
In this first-of-its-kind state-level program, acharyas recited the third chapter of the Gita, "Karma Yoga," in unison.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): On the occasion of Gita Jayanti, over 5,000 acharyas and participants gathered at Motilal Nehru Stadium in Bhopal on Wednesday for a collective recitation of the Gita.
In this first-of-its-kind state-level program, acharyas recited the third chapter of the Gita, "Karma Yoga," in unison.

Organisers aim to register this recitation as a world record. To ensure an accurate count of participants, each acharya and participant was given a wristband with a QR code.
The event witnessed significant participation, including children and Muslim women, highlighting unity.
Highlights
A display of Srimad Bhagwat Purana and cow-themed art exhibitions was organized.
The "Sadho Band" from Mumbai performed devotional songs.
To promote the Gita’s teachings, the state government plans to place copies of Srimad Bhagavad Gita, Valmiki Ramayana, and Ramcharitmanas in hotels across Madhya Pradesh for visitors and tourists.

Special Participation from Gunna Gurukul
Forty young students from the Shri Parshuram Sanskrit Ved Vidya Gurukul in Kumbhraj, Guna, participated. These students have memorized 70 verses from the 18th chapter of the Gita.
Each acharya and participant will receive Rs 2,500, which will be transferred directly to their bank accounts by the government.
Leaders and Guests at the Event
Prominent leaders like Deputy CM Rajendra Shukla, Minister Jagdish Deora, Culture Minister Dharmendra Singh Lodhi, Bhopal’s In-Charge Minister Chetan Kashyap, MLA Rameshwar Sharma, and Municipal Corporation Chairman Kishan Suryavanshi, along with many acharyas and saints, were present at the event.
