Notorious Bootlegger Caught With 90 Litres Of Illegal Liquor In Bhopal

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Crime Branch on Sunday arrested a repeat offender involved in illegal liquor smuggling. The accused, Satish Raut, was caught red-handed with 10 boxes (90 litres) of English liquor stored in his rented room.

The total market value of the seized liquor is approximately Rs1,01,000, police said. Additional DCP Shailendra Singh Chauhan said crime branch in-charge Ashok Maravi and his team received information about Satish Raut, who was allegedly storing a large quantity of English liquor at his residence near Jain's grocery store in the Shanti Nagar area.

The team swiftly reached the location and searched the room and found 10 boxes of English liquor some sealed, some opened containing a total of 120 bottles (90 litres).

When questioned, Satish confessed that the liquor belonged to him, however, failed to produce any license. Satish has past criminal record of selling illicit liquor and further interrogation is underway to uncover the supply chain, Chauhan added.
