Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): Around 5 men fired multiple bullets at a grocery store in Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior, after the shop owner refused to give a ₹10 cigarette without money.

The incident was also captured in a CCTV installed in the locality, which is now doing rounds on social media.

According to information, the incident took place on Friday night in the Maharajpura area of Gwalior, at Devnarayan Market on Shanichara Road.

According to information, a man named Chhotu Bhadauria came to Govind Kirana Store and asked for a cigarette on credit.

The shop owner, Surjeet Mawai, asked him to first clear his previous dues of ₹ 250. Chhotu said he would pay later, but Surjeet insisted on payment for the current purchase.

When denied, Chhotu tried to snatch a cigarette from the counter. This led to an argument between the two, after which Chhotu left the shop angrily.

Accused returned with arms and associates

Later, Chhotu returned with Aditya Singh, Aman Singh, and three unidentified men on two bikes. They fired multiple bullets at the shop. Around 4-5 of them were armed. Bullets hit the grocery store’s wall, a refrigerator inside, and even the wall of a nearby eatery named Fauji Dhaba.

Fortunately, no life was lost in the incident.

After the attack, the accused threatened the shopkeeper and nearby vendors before fleeing the scene.

Police were informed immediately, but they were busy handling a recent murder case in the same area and a roadblock at Gola Ka Mandir.

The case was taken seriously after it reached SSP Dharmveer Singh. Police have now registered a case against the three named accused and other unidentified indiciduals. Multiple police teams have been sent out to catch the attackers.
