MP Shocker! Six-Month-Old Baby Severely Burned After Parents Take Him To Tantrik For Superstitious Ritual; Doctors Say, He May Lose Vision
Seeing the baby's serious condition, district hospital eye specialist Dr. Girish Chaturvedi raised the issue on social media and demanded strict action against those responsible.

Shivpuri (Madhya Pradesh): A six-month-old baby suffered severe burns after being taken to a tantrik for a superstitious ritual in Shivpuri district.
The tantrik burned the baby's face so badly that his cheeks and lips were badly injured. The burns also affected both eyes, and doctors fear he may lose his vision.

According to information, the incident happened in Hanuman Colony, where Aadesh Verma took his son Mayank to the district hospital’s eye department on Thursday evening.
When the doctor examined the baby, he asked the parents about the burns. At first, the mother admitted, in tears, that they had taken the baby to a tantrik in Ramnagar, Kolaras, where he was burned during the ritual.
However, later, the parents changed their statement, claiming that the baby got burned by hot tea in the kitchen.

Seeing the baby's serious condition, district hospital eye specialist Dr. Girish Chaturvedi raised the issue on social media and demanded strict action against those responsible.
He stated that the baby's corneas were burned, putting his eyesight at great risk.
Despite the baby's critical condition, the hospital management is trying to downplay the matter. Meanwhile, Civil Surgeon B.L. Yadav confirmed that the incident happened due to superstition, and the police have been informed.
Dr. Girish Chaturvedi said, “The parents brought the baby to me and told me themselves that they had taken him to a tantrik. This is a very tragic incident, and strict action should be taken against those responsible.”
