MP: Retired Army Officer Shoots Wife Dead With Pistol Over Trivial Issue In Morena; Wakes Up Sons At Gunpoint
The sons pulled their father away and fled from the spot. They locked the room from outside and called their uncle for help.

Morena (Madhya Pradesh): A shocking incident has been reported from Madhya Pradesh's Morena, where a retired soldier shot his wife dead on Tuesday over a trivial issue. He then pointed out the pistol at his sons, but they fled away from the room by pushing him. Following this, he shot himself and died on the spot.
The deceased were identified as Devendra Singh (45), retired from the Indian Army 5 years ago and his wife Madhuri (43), resident of Vikram Nagar.
When his sons heard the noise of a gunshot, they returned to the room and found his parents in terrible condition. Upon ruckus, a large number of people gathered there and took the injured wife to the hospital in critical condition and she died during the treatment.

According to information, Devendra lived in Vikram Nagar with his wife Madhuri and two sons - Saurabh (15) and Gaurav (17). On Tuesday early morning, Devendra had a dispute with his wife over trivial issues while their two sons were sleeping in the same room. Angry, Devendra took out his licensed pistol and shot his wife.
Following this, he put the gun on his sons and tried to wake them up. The sons then saw their mother unconscious, and got shocked. Following this, they pulled their father away and fled from the spot. They locked the room from outside and called their uncle for help. Meanwhile, they heard the noise of another gunshot. The sons returned to the room where they found that their father was lying on the floor dead.

Upon ruckus, a large number of people gathered at the spot and took Madhuri to the nearby hospital, where doctors referred her to Gwalior. She died there during treatment. The police were also informed.
The police, along with Forensic Team reached the spot and began the investigations. Devendra's son informed the police that their father used to take some sleeping pills. The police are also examining the sleeping pills.
Notably, Devendra was retired from the Indian Army 5 years ago and was working as a security guard at a warehouse in Dholpur.
