MP Minister Prahlad Patel’s PRO Hangs Self; Had Argument With Husband Last Night   

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Another suicide case was reported in capital Bhopal on the intervening night of Tuesday-Wednesday in which, a female Public Relations Officer of Panchayat & Rural Development Minister Prahlad Patel’s office, died by suicide. The deceased has been identified as Pooja Thapak, posted in Madhya Pradesh Government's Panchayat and Rural Development department.

According to information, Pooja Thapak was married and lived with her husband and family in Saket Nagar area in the state capital. She was working as an assistant director and handling communication and public relations of state rural department.

According to Govindpura police, Pooja had an argument with her husband on Tuesday night. She was found hanging on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday.

Husband used to doubt her 

Pooja Thapak's husband Nikhil Dubey is also an Assistant Director in the Technology Department. Both had a love marriage 2 years ago and now have a 1-year-old child. 

Pooja and Nikhil had been involved in arguments over Pooja’s returning home late from her office. The arguments intensified 6 months ago. 

On Tuesday night at around 12 Am, an argument took place between the two after which Pooja allegedly went to the room and hanged herself. When the husband saw her, he rescued her and took her to AIIMS, where after some treatment, she was declared dead. .

Last call made to a parents

Pooja's maternal home is in Indore. Her last call was made to her mother, when she informed her parents about her fight with her husband and said that she doesn’t want to be with him anymore. Her parents counselled her, and shortly after, Pooja committed suicide by hanging herself.

On receiving information about the incident, the police reached the spot and registered a case. Also, her body has been sent to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhopal for the postmortem. More details will be revealed once the report is released.
