Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh is likely to see the effect of heat wave along with strong storm and rain in the month of June. The Meteorological Department has issued a heat wave alert in the districts of Gwalior-Chambal on 9 and 10 June.

The rain will continue in many districts for 2 days i.e. on 7 and 8 June. Rain is expected in 20 districts on Saturday.

According to the Meteorological Department, there may be rain with thunder and lightning in Indore, Ujjain, Bhopal, Jhabua, Alirajpur, Dhar, Barwani, Khargone, Dewas, Khandwa, Burhanpur, Harda, Vidisha, Raisen, Narmadapuram, Betul, Narsinghpur, Chhindwara, Pandhurna and Seoni on Saturday. The weather will be similar the next day as well, but after this there is a heat wave alert for 2 days.

Guna recorded highest temperature in state

Earlier, it rained for the 42nd consecutive day in the state. Light rain was recorded in Indore and Raisen on Friday. Meanwhile, Guna recorded the highest temperature of 40.7℃. In other cities, the temperature remained below 40 ℃.

Talking about big cities, Bhopal recorded 38.3℃, Indore 36.3℃, Gwalior 38.5℃, Ujjain 38.7℃ and Jabalpur recorded a temperature of 38.9℃. Pachmarhi recorded the lowest temperature of 33.8℃.

Monsoon expected after June 10

According to Senior Meteorologist the activity of two cyclonic circulations and one western disturbance is still going on. This is the reason behind the stormy and rainy weather. The weather will remain like this for the next 4 days.

Here, the entry of monsoon in the state is expected only after June 10. According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon is currently stuck at one place in Maharashtra-Chhattisgarh. It has not moved forward for the last few days.
