MP January 6 Weather Update: State Continues To Experience Cold; Rain Likely Expected From January 12
The Meteorological Department has predicted light rain in some districts of the state from January 12 due to the effect of Western Disturbance which will be active in North-West India on January 10.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The state continues to shiver and also, there is a trend of rain in January. There was fog in many districts of Madhya Pradesh on Monday morning. Visibility was reduced to 20 meters in Mauganj district.
The Meteorological Department has predicted light rain in some districts of the state from January 12 due to the effect of Western Disturbance which will be active in North-West India on January 10. The cold winds then enter the state, which will increase cold.
Moderate to dense fog
Moderate to dense fog will prevail over Gwalior, Sheopur, Morena, Bhind, Datia, Niwari, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Satna, Maihar, Rewa, Mauganj, Sidhi, Singrauli, Neemuch and Mandsaur on Monday.
The meteorological department has predicted that the weather remain similar in the above districts on Tuesday as well. However, there is less possibility of fog on Wednesday but the state will shiver due to cold.
Temperature will fall further
Currently, there is snowfall in Jammu, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Ladakh. When the snow will melt in the upcoming days, the effect of cold will increase. It is expected that cold wave will continue for 20 to 22 days.
On Sunday, jet streams kept blowing at a speed of 240 km per hour at a height of 12.6 km.
