Chhindwara (Madhya Pradesh): A heart-wrenching incident has come to light from Madhya Pradesh’s Chhindwara district, where a young woman threw her newborn baby girl into a dustbin right after giving birth.
Within minutes, stray dogs gathered around and began attacking the infant.
Local residents saw the horrifying scene, chased the dogs away, and immediately informed the police.
The police rushed to the spot and took the mauled baby to the district hospital. Unfortunately, the doctors declared her dead on arrival.
The matter came to light on Tuesday, however, the incident is said to have occurred on Saturday evening.
The incident was also captured in the CCTV installed in the area, which the police found as evidence.

CCTV footage helped identify the woman, who later confessed that the baby was hers. She admitted to abandoning the newborn out of fear of social shame. The woman is unmarried and had recently come to stay with her sister.
Investigation revealed that the baby was born prematurely at around 7 to 8 months and was alive at the time she was thrown away.
The woman is currently in police custody, and authorities are now searching for the man involved with her.
