MP Horror! Drunk Man Stabs Wife To Death, Critically Injures Stepdaughter & Flees

Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): A drunk man allegedly attacked his wife and 17-year-old stepdaughter with a knife in Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur on Friday night. His wife died on spot while her 17 year old daughter was critically injured.

The horrific incident happened near a liquor shop at Patel Tiraha in Bargi on the night between Friday and Saturday. The accused fled from the spot after committing the crime. Several police teams are conducting raids at various places to nab the accused.

According to the information, the deceased woman has been identified as Anjum Bano, whose Hindu name is Radha Bhumiya. The woman had left her first husband Rashid Shah 12 years ago and got married to Ramji Bhumiya, along with her two children Mehak and Ashish. The woman has an elder son named Tausif, who doesn’t resides with them.

On the night of the incident, accused Ramji Bhumiya was drunk, and got into a dispute with Anjum Bano. The fight escalated so much that Ramji attacked Anjum Bano and her daughter Mehak with a sharp edged weapon kept in the house.

Both mother and daughter, got seriously injured and were taken to the hospital, but Anjum Bano died on the way. Daughter Mehak's condition is said to be critical and she is admitted in the ICU of the Medical College Hospital.

As soon as the incident was reported, Bargi police station police and senior officials reached the spot. Station in-charge Kamlesh Chauriya said that the accused fled after committing the crime. Three police teams have been formed to search for him, which are raiding possible hideouts.

According to Chauriya, the arrest of the accused is a priority and he will be taken into custody soon. Local people and the relatives of the deceased said that there were frequent fights between Ramji Bhumiya and Anjum Bano. Some people say that the accused had a violent nature and used to harass the family after drinking alcohol every day.

The police has handed over the woman's body to the family after post-mortem. The police is actively searching for accused and investigation is being done from every angle.
