'Mera Janam Dadhi-Topi Se Nipatne Ke Liye Hi Hua Hai,' Bhopal MP Alok Sharma Condemns ‘Love Jihad’ (VIDEO)

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): BJP’s Member of Parliament from Bhopal, Alok Sharma, made strong remarks against alleged ‘love jihad‘ on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya on Wednesday. His speech was recorded in a video which is going viral on social media.

The MP was addressing a gathering at Bhopal’s Gufa Mandir, where he also offered prayers to Lord Parshuram.

Speaking to the gathering, Sharma said, “Mera janam dadhi-topi se nipatne ke liye hi hua hai….I was born to deal with people wearing beards and skull caps.” 

‘Hindus are migrating from Bhopal’

Sahrma expressed serious concern over the declining Hindu population in Old Bhopal. He claimed Hindus are selling their homes and shops and migrating from the area, meanwhile the Muslim population is increasing. “Who will care about this if not us?” he asked.

He urged the Hindu community to unite and take action. “25 saalon se alochna kar rahe ho, kya ho gaya? Aaj 50 saal ke ho gaye ho, kuch saalon mein Ram naam satya ho jaayega. Isse hoga kya? Kaam karo sabhi, ekjut ho ... .Just criticizing for 25 years won’t change anything. You’re 50 now, and soon it will be too late. Do something now - stand together.”

‘We do not accept love jihad’

Sharma continued that June 5 will be a historic day for Bhopal, as Pandit Dhirendra Shastri of Bageshwar Dham will address a major gathering at Iqbal Maidan to raise his voice against Hindu migration.

He further promised, “I, your brother, Alok Sharma, son of Bhopal, will stand by you in this fight. Whether it’s a rich man or a poor one, I will help. Anyone attempting love jihad in the future will face such punishment that they won’t be spared.”
