Madhya Pradesh's 27-Year-Old Student Raped By YouTube Teacher From Bihar

Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): A 27-year-old woman was allegedly raped by a YouTube mathematics teacher from Bihar, as reported by Jabalpur police on Monday. 

According to police, the 27-year-old woman is a resident of Jabalpur and was preparing for competitive exams. She came across the accused YouTube teacher through one of his videos explaining math tricks. 

The victim then joined the accused's online classes. Later, the two exchanged their respective contact numbers and added each other on social media platforms (Instagram). The duo started chatting with each other and grew close.

Accused threatens to defame victim 

The accused, identified as Vikas Kumar, hails from Patna, Bihar. On March 12, the accused arrived in Jabalpur to meet the victim. He then lured her into a private hotel near Jabalpur Railway Station, where he was staying during his visit.

This is where the victim was raped on the pretext of marriage. After victimising the women, the victim threatened to defame her and kill her entire family, in case she revealed the incident. 

An FIR has been registered against the accused YouTube teacher Vikas with Jabalpur's Civil Lines Police station, under relevant sections of rape and threatening. 

Regarding the matter, Civil Lines police station in-charge Nehru Singh Khandate confirmed that a case has been registered against the accused and police have launched a search operation.
