Madhya Pradesh: Woman Gives Birth On Jabalpur Railway Platform

Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): A woman delivered a baby boy on a platform of Jabalpur railway station on Saturday.

As per reports, Meena Kumari was travelling from Bengaluru to Danapur aboard the Sangamitra Express, when she suddenly went into labour.

With the swift assistance of railway attendant Darshan Kaurav, an urgent call was made for medical help, leading to the arrival of Dr Amarnath and local authorities.

They quickly helped Meena off the train and onto the platform, where her labour pains intensified. Despite the unconventional setting, the team worked with incredible patience which resulted in the safe delivery of a healthy baby boy.

As the cries of the newborn echoed through the station, a wave of emotion swept over passengers, who greeted the miracle with applause. Following the delivery, both mother and child were transported to Rani Durgavati Hospital, where their conditions were reported as stable.

GRP station in-charge Balram Yadav said that both mother and newborn are being treated in Hospital and are safe.
