Madhya Pradesh: Two High-Profile Aides Of DJ Yaseen Rounded Up By Cops; Yaseen’s Custody Remand Extended Till July 30

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): In the high profile drug racket busted three days back, two more aides of syndicate’s kingpin DJ Yaseen were rounded up by the police on Saturday. The detained have been identified as Jagjeet Singh aka Jagga and Ansh Chawla.

The two individuals have been taken into custody on the basis of questioning Yaseen and some chats found in his mobile, police officials said. Jagga was in Delhi and had returned to Bhopal on Saturday.

He was taken into custody from Raja Bhoj Airport in the morning. Police sources said that initial questioning from Jagga revealed that he was part of the racket and used to get a fixed percentage for delivery of MD drugs.

Crime Branch also detained one Ansh Chawla for questioning. Ansh is related to a family in medicine business and was detained on the basis of some WhatsApp chats related to MD drugs found in Yaseen’s mobile.

Meanwhile, a youth who was held hostage and tortured by Yaseen has approached police. On his complaint, an FIR has been registered against Yaseen at Talaiya police station. Police officials said that many more victims of assault and torture by Yaseen, Shahwar and their family members were in touch with cops.

Jagga ran social media campaign for DJ Yaseen

Jagjeet aka Jagga now in police remand was running a social media campaign—Justice for Yaseen. Jagga led a lavish lifestyle and was a well known figure in clubs and lounges of the city. Police have found several chats of him with Yaseen related to MD drugs. Police is also collecting details about persons connected to the campaign.

Yaseen’s custody remand extended

The court on Saturday extended the police remand of Yaseen till July 30 after the police team returned with him from Rajasthan. Police have seized a tablet of Yaseen in which some more objectionable videos and chats have been found. Moreover, police have also got vital clues about his connections in Rajasthan from where he was receiving MD drugs.

Three gang members held with smack

Crime Branch arrested three drug peddlers who were working for Yaseen’s drug racket. Additional DCP Shailendra Singh Chauhan said following a tip-off cops nabbed the trio from Govindpura area with 5.42 gram of smack worth Rs 45k.

The trio was identified as Mikki Sahu (21), Shailendra Verma (32) and Toheed Khan (20). The trio have been arrested on the basis of information received during investigation of the drug syndicate, Chauhan added.
