Balaghat (Madhya Pradesh): Resentment is brewing among the parents against a teacher in a government primary school in the Lanji development block.
According to reports, the teacher comes to the school in a drunken state and misbehaves with the students.
There are allegations against a teacher of the school, Satish Choudhary, that he comes to the school in a drunken state and falls asleep in a chair.
According to the students, the drunken teacher hobbles in the classroom and snores, sitting on a chair. When the students related the story to their parents, they expressed concern over the future of their wards.
Choudhary did not reach school on Wednesday, and nobody knew where he had gone.
Assistant teacher Lekha Sirame is also fed up with the behaviour of Choudhary’s conduct. She complained to the higher-ups in the education department, but they did not take any action against the teacher. The higher-ups simply gave him a warning and let him off the hook.
When the issue was put up before the education coordinator of the development, Shivendra Uike, he said he had received a complaint against Choudhary.
After an inquiry into the complaints, he was found guilty of coming to school in a drunken state, he said.
A warning was also issued to him, but it failed to have any impact on him, he said, adding that he will contact the district education officer for action against Choudhary.
