Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The serial bride (Looteri Dulhan) arrested by Rajasthan police three days ago has two cases registered against her and aides at Guna and Chittorgarh of Rajasthan. The serial bride Anuradha has duped two persons at these places on pretext of marriage and fled with their cash and valuables.
Police investigations have revealed that Anuradha married 25 men across several states and had decamped with cash and jewellery from their homes. Police suspect that there may be more cases lodged against her at different places. Investigations also revealed the names of some more agents who were working for the gang.
In the FIR lodged at City Kotwali police of Guna, Vinod Meena, a resident of Kilankhedi village of Vidisha, claimed that one Akil Khan had promised to get him married in return of Rs 1.50 lakh. Vinod had paid Rs 1.40 lakh to Akil and Dau Nat who introduced him to Anuradha on February 2. Vinod took Anuradha to the court for registering the marriage, but she refused. The next day Anuradha left Vinod’s home claiming that she was not interested in getting married to him.
Woman left Chittorgarh man after 4 days
In the other case at Chittorgarh, one Nemichand registered an FIR on July 12, 2024 at Dungla police station. Nemichand claimed that Vishal and Ramlal offered to get him married to a woman in return of Rs 2 lakh. Nemichand married Anuradha on April 17, 2024. However, on April 21, when Nemichand had taken Anuradha for an outing, she talked to someone over the phone and informed that her uncle was dead and she must leave immediately.
Anuradha scuffled with Nemichand when he asked her to first accompany him to home. In the meanwhile, an unknown man arrived on a bike and Anuradha left with him with the jewellery she was wearing.
Wide network
ASI Meethala Yadav of Sawai Madhopur police said these two cases indicate that the gang has a wide network across several states as names of more agents have come to light. Earlier names of Anuradha’s six aides surfaced who were operating from Bhopal. Anuradha lived at Kalyan Nagar in Chhola Mandir area and confessed to have married 25 men within a year.
