Many politicians look upset after a high-profile case has come to light in the state capital. The people involved in the case have taken photographs with a few politicians, which have gone viral on social media. The families whose members have links with the case are on good terms with many politicians. But the politicians do not know when and whom their photographs with those involved in the case will go viral on social media. There are reports that a politician is ferreting out information about his meetings with those involved in the case.

He is finding when and which of their work he recommended. Also, there are reports that the family members of those involved in the case have given donations to the politicians for election. The donation case, if exposed, will tarnish the image of many politicians. A probe into the case has caused confusion to the government. After the names of some BJP leaders came to light, some important politicians of the party, sitting in Delhi, have taken feedback on the issue. Nevertheless, the axe is not going to fall on anyone involved in the case.

Peer contest

A minister from a far-flung area in the state is setting up a big office in his bungalow in Bhopal. The department the minister heads does not have much work. The people from his constituency often visit Bhopal. The minister, too, stays in Bhopal twice or thrice a week. But the people in the corridors of power have failed to understand the reason for building such a big office in his bungalow.

The minister has, in fact, decided to set up such a big office because his colleagues have done so in their bungalows. Whenever he visits their bungalows and finds such big offices, he, too, feels he should have an office. So, he has started setting it up. The minister has said to his close aides that he does not have much work in the department. The district under his charge is also weaker than other districts. So, he wanted to show his importance by setting up a big office. The minister has followed the design of the office of an important cabinet colleague. There are reports that the mining trade in his constituency cannot survive without his consent.

Old party

The heart of a legislator who has switched over from the BJP to the Congress still beats for his parent party. Nothing much is known about this leader. Nor is he friendly with the Congress legislators. Ergo, when the House is in session, the legislator spends most of his time with the BJP legislators. Many ministers and legislators of the ruling party are close to this MLA. During the session, he is often seen sharing laughter with them. He switched over to the Congress because of a former minister of his constituency.

He was a rival of the former minister. When the former minister left the Congress and joined the BJP, this leader switched over from the BJP to the Congress before the election. As he has no rivalry with any BJP leader, he is friends with the members of his former party. This is the reason that he pays attention to what he should say and against whom he should speak.

Waiting for rewards!

The discussions about appointments in corporations and boards by the BJP organisation have generated a stir in the party. Those who are claiming the posts of presidents and vice presidents in corporations and boards have intensified their efforts. The chief minister, the party’s state president, and the organisational general secretary will take a decision on the political appointments. Similarly, some leaders, working behind the scenes, play an important role in such appointments. Against this backdrop, a former legislator is trying to get a position on a board through such a leader working behind the scenes. In fact, this BJP leader wants to get the position through the leader associated with the RSS and BJP.

The leader is also recommending with full force the name of his close aide for a suitable post. An important leader of the state is close to him. So, the former legislator is trying to achieve the target through this leader. It is heard that the organisation has mulled over his name, but an office-bearer of the organisation is averse to his appointment to a board. So, a decision about him has not been taken. The politician recently showed his powers.

On LS pattern

The Vidhan Sabha is running on the pattern of the Lok Sabha. The present assembly Speaker had been in the Lok Sabha for 15 years before coming to the Vidhan Sabha. So, he wants to implement the traditions of the Lok Sabha in the assembly. The Speaker has started the question hour in the assembly on the pattern of the Lok Sabha. Now, he has implemented the dress code in the House.

The officers and employees sitting in the House during the session have been advised to follow the dress code. The Vidhan Sabha had the uniforms stitched for them. A few employees are happy with the dress code, but some say they are now required to come to the office in uniforms. The Speker plans to make more changes in the House on the pattern of the Lok Sabha. An order has been issued to celebrate the birthdays and to observe the death anniversaries of the former Speakers and the chief ministers. Those who have worked for years in a set pattern are happy about such changes.

In a dilemma

The relationship among two senior BJP leaders has gone sour, and the situation has come to such a pass that they are trying to harm one another. They praise themselves in public, but they privately conspire against one another. A leader had some personal work that he wanted to get done through a party colleague. But the leader concerned did not give any importance to it. When his work was not done, the leader got angry.

It is part of his habit that whenever his work is not done, he gets angry. Now, he has started speaking to the party’s central leadership against the person who did not do his work. One of them is not a veteran in the party. So, the leadership is barely paying any attention to what he is saying. But he continued to complain about his work not being done, and some issues related to those close to him are discussed in Delhi. This has sown the seeds of bitterness between these two leaders. The chasm between them is deepening.
