Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): From constables to officers posted in police stations, every police personnel in state will soon be able to check their service book online anytime. Officials said on Monday that even leave and transfer applications will no longer require written submission—they will be filed online.
The Police Headquarters (PHQ) is set to launch this digital initiative by November 2025, with full implementation expected by January 2026. The system will be rolled out simultaneously in 118 units of the police department, covering service records of over one lakh personnel.
PHQ, with the help of the State Electronic Development Corporation (MPSEDC), has developed the Electronic Human Resource Management System (EHRMS). This system will digitally store complete service records of all police personnel, from recruitment to present day.
The online service book will include detailed entries such as rewards, punishments, promotions, transfers, and posting history. Personal data like home district and state will also be recorded. The system will also link to payroll software for seamless integration.
Currently, officers across all units are undergoing training to use the new system at the Police Training Centre in Bhauri. The training will be conducted in three phases. The first state-level training has already begun. Next, clerks from across the police department will be trained at the E-Daksh Centres in their respective districts, where they’ll learn how to make data entries in the system.
IG Ruchi Vardhan Mishra said the record of more than one lakh police personnel, including SPS officers, is being digitised. With this programme, there will be no need for officers to visit offices for leave, transfer, or other applications. It will save time and enable immediate action. All details including EL, CL, punishments, etc., will be included. Data uploading will begin at the end of June, with the system fully operational by January 2026.
