Bhopal: Police Commissioner To Conduct Surprise Inspection, Internal Inquiry Will Be Conducted
Commissioner will Interact with people at police stations, Action will be taken against police station staff if negligence is found in their work

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Aiming to improve policing and taking first hand feedback from the complainants, police commissioner Harinarayanachari Mishra will conduct surprise inspection of all 35 police stations on regular basis. He will randomly select the police station to be inspected. Action will also be taken against police station staff if found neglecting their work.
The drive came after the case of corruption in Aishbag Police Station
The police commissioner planned the drive after recent case of negligence and corruption at Aishbag police station. Moreover, he also received complaints from the people regarding inaction by policemen in many other cases. Police commissioner learnt that TIs at many police stations are reluctant to meet complainants and fail to address their complaints. Worse, they do not receive phone calls on their CUG numbers.
Internal inquiry is to be conducted
The police commissioner is also conducting an internal inquiry to identify such police officials and will prepare a list of police stations that lag behind in taking action on complaints of people.
Police commissioner Mishra said he would also interact with people directly (Jan Sanvad) at the police stations and will inquire if instant action was taken on their complaint.
