Morena (Madhya Pradesh): On the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, Lord Parshuram Prakatotsav was celebrated with devotion in the entire district. Devotees in large numbers thronged the temple since morning, bathed Lord Parshuram with Gangajal and anointed him with Panchamrit.
Devotees also recited Sunderkand, and participated in hawan and kanya bhojan was organised at various places. Senior Brahmins appealed to the devotees present to work in public interest.
Hundreds of Brahmins including Dr KN Mishra, Hakim Singh Dandotiya and other devotees offered floral garlands and paid obeisance.
Joura (Madhya Pradesh): On Parshuram Jayanti, the temple of Lord Parshuram located in Sanadhya Dharamshala became the centre of faith and devotion for devotees on Wednesday morning.
Devotees from Brahmin community and other communities worshipped Lord Parshuram with traditional rituals and received his blessings. The temple premises echoed with the chants of Lord Parshuram.
Joura MLA Pankaj Upadhyay said, “Lord Parshuram is our clan founder and idol. It is the responsibility of Brahmin community to oppose the injustice happening in the entire society.”
Porsa (Madhya Pradesh): Lord Parshuram Jayanti was celebrated with fanfare at Shri Nagaji temple on Wednesday. Hundreds of Brahmins participated in the Sundarkand recital in temple premises.
Devotees offered flowers and paid reverence. Block president CD Sharma, Parshuram Seva state vice president Pandit Monu Sharma, Mukesh Sharma and others were present.
