Madhya Pradesh Govt Tables First Supplementary Budget Of ₹22,460 Crore
A sum of more than Rs 229 crore have been allotted for urban development and housing department.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The state government tabled the supplementary budget of Rs 22,460 crore in the assembly on Tuesday. The focus of the government is on infrastructure development, energy, Public Health and Engineering, higher education, women and child development, industrial policy and investment, water resources etc.
As far as the supplementary budget is concerned, Rs 200 crore has been earmarked for industrial policy and investment promotion department. A sum of more than Rs 229 crore have been allotted for urban development and housing department.
The other highest allocation done to other departments includes Rs 87,63,63,11, 980 to energy department, Rs 4, 50, 00,00,000 to MSME department, Rs 54,00,00,000 to Public Health and Family Welfare, Rs 850 crore to Panchayat department, Rs 34,59,00,000 for higher education, Rs 550 crore to women and child development department etc.
A sum of Rs 125 crore has been earmarked for Narmada valley development. Discussion on supplementary demands of various departments will be done on Wednesday. The full-fledged budget of the state government will be tabled in the assembly in next budget session which will begin from February onwards.
