Shivpuri (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, accompanied by Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, conducted a joint inspection of flood-affected areas and villages in the Kolaras Assembly constituency.
The leaders met with affected villagers and assured them of all possible government assistance.
Yadav said, "The first duty of the government is the safety of the citizens; life is important." He promised that compensation for damaged homes and crops would be directly deposited into the accounts of the affected families.
He praised the administration's efforts in managing the situation and promised a continuous review of relief work.

Yadav's response to the disaster praised
Scindia praised CM Yadav's swift and sensitive response to the disaster. He also highlighted that upon learning of the floods, Chief Minister immediately instructed the collectors of Guna, Shivpuri and Ashok Nagar to mobilise the SDRF and activate the administration for relief operations.
Scindia noted that unprecedented heavy rainfall led to a sudden increase in the water level of Sindh River and other water sources, causing extensive damage.
