Madhya Pradesh: Case Filed Against Government Hostel Superintendent For Assaulting 25 Minor Girls In Anuppur

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Police have registered a case against the woman superintendent of government hostel for beating up more than 25 minor girls staying at the facility in Kotma in Anuppur district, police said on Wednesday.
Kotma police station incharge Sundesh Kumar Malviya said a complaint lodged by victims' family members stated that the accused thrashed girls, all Class 7 students of the government school at its hostel on Sunday night. The police said that the girls claimed they were beaten up without any reason.

He said that on Sunday after the dinner, some of the students slept, some were studying and some were playing. The girls who were playing joyfully started screaming, which annoyed superintendent and she started beating every student including those who were studying and sleeping. The girls on Monday shared the incident with their parents. The girl's family members and the school's principal later lodged the complaint, Malviya said.
Based on the complaint, a case was registered on Tuesday against hostel superintendent under Sections 296 (obscene act), 115 (2) (voluntarily causing hurt) and 351 (criminal intimidation) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and under the provisions of Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act. According to Malaviya, a notice has been served to hostel superintendent to appear at police station.
