Datia (Madhya Pradesh): BJP Datia general secretary and Khatik Samaj district president Jitendra Mewafrosh shot himself to death with his licensed revolver, at his residence, on Sunday morning.
Upon receiving the information, the police reached the spot and sent the body for postmortem.
During investigations, the kin alleged that councillors Rinku Dubey and Ankit Srivastava were pressuring his brother to transfer his land and house in their names.

According to information, Mewafrosh shot himself outside his house on Sunday morning. As soon as he shot himself, he fell on the ground soaked in blood. After hearing the sound of a gunshot, his wife screamed and all other family members reached the spot.
Upon ruckus, a crowd gathered there and took him to the district hospital nearby where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Revelations made during police investigations
The police have registered a case in Kotwali police station and began the investigations.
During interrogations, the deceased's brother Virendra Mewafrosh alleged that Ankit Srivastava and Councilor Rinku Dubey, were pressurizing him to transfer the land and house in their name.
Actually, he was the former manager of Sahara Company. However, the company got shut down for some reason for which his was being blamed.
