Madhya Pradesh: Action Against Illegal Petrol Sale Near Gujarat Border | FPJ
Jhabua (Madhya Pradesh): A joint team of revenue and Food and Drug Administration took action against illegal petrol sales in Harinagar and Kakanwani in Jhabua, which are near Gujarat border.
Following instructions from Collector Neha Meena and under guidance of SDO (Revenue) Tarun Jain, the team visited these towns to address the issue.
The team found sellers selling petrol openly and explained to them that this practice is illegal. They warned that selling highly flammable petrol in this manner poses serious risks of fire and other accidents. The team made it clear that future inspections would be conducted and strict action would be taken against anyone found selling petrol illegally.

The district administration urged the public not to engage in illegal petrol sales, stating that violators would face consequences under the Essential Commodities Act.
In addition to addressing petrol sales, the team also inspected the storage of essential commodities in Thandla town. They checked Sagar Trading Company and Navkar Traders for compliance with regulations regarding storage of essential food items.
The inspection was carried out by food safety officer Rahul Alava, junior supply officer Suresh Tomar, weights and measures inspector Kapil Kadam and Sanjay Panchal.
