Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): Gwalior police arrested Bharat Prajapati, a fugitive accused in an honour killing case, from Delhi. Prajapati, who carried a reward of Rs 5,000, was allegedly involved in the murder of his sister along with his father Radha Kishan and brother Awadhesh.
According to Girwai SHO Surendra Nath Singh Yadav, police received a tip-off about Bharat hiding in Delhi. A team led by ASI Captain Singh raided the location and apprehended him. The father and brother had already been arrested earlier.
The incident occurred on August 16 last year near the Veerpur Dam under the Girwai police station area. The 19-year-old victim had eloped with Narendra Jatav, a resident of Narwar in Shivpuri, and married him in February. The family disapproved of the relationship as Narendra belonged to a different caste and was already married. Police later traced the girl in Udaipur and handed her over to her family.
