The crucial meet to elect the next Chief Minister for Madhya Pradesh has begun. All 163 MLAs are present in the meeting, apart from the three party observers-- Manohar Lal Khattar, Asha Lakda and K Laxman.

Top contendors for the CM chair like Kailash Vijayvargiya, Prahlad Patel, Narendra Singh Tomar, VD Sharma and Shivraj Singh Chouhan had already arrived at the venue in the afternoon.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): With only 1 hour left for the legislative meet to elect Madhya Pradesh's chief minister, top leaders of BJP leaders were seen engaged in a light-hearted discussion at the BJP office. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, state party chief VD Sharma, Haryana Chief Minister Shri Manohar Lal Khattar, National President of OBC Morcha Dr. K. Laxman and party's National Secretary and Ranchi Mayor Asha Lakda were present on the occasion.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The top contender for the coveted post, Prahal Singh Patel has arrived at the BJP office in Bhopal as the legislative meet is set to begin in two hours from now.

Several MLAs have also reached the party office. They, however, preferred to avoid media queries on the name of next Chief Minister. At 1.33 pm, BJP national general secretary and Indore-1 MLA Kailash Vijayvargiya, reached the BJP office. A few minutes before his arrival, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and most of the MLAs had reached the party office.

Similarly, MLA from Jabalpur West Rakesh Singh has also reached the BJP office in the state capital.

They have dine the registration for the meeting. At the same time, all three Observers have also reached party office after arriving to Bhopal. The MLAs also have a little bit discussion with CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan and other senior leaders.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): As Madhya Pradesh began the countdown for its Chief Minister, all the three observers of BJP arrived in Bhopal on Monday morning. The trio will attend the legislative party meeting, due at 3:50 pm today, where the name for the top post will be announced.

Tribal artists performed a welcome dance as observers namely Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, OBC Morcha’s National President Dr K Laxman and party’s national secretary Asha Lakda landed at Raja Bhoj Airport. BJP State President VD Sharma received the top BJP leaders and greeted them bouquets.

After naming the Chhattisgarh Chief Minister, the central leadership of BJP will today announce the name for the Madhya Pradesh's top chair.

The name of the MLA from Narsinghpur, Prahlad Singh Patel, tops the list of the CM contenders as of now. The other names which are creating the ripples include-- Narendra Singh Tomar, Kailash Vijayvargiya and Jyotiraditya Scindia.

There are murmurs underway that if consensus is not evolved on above mentioned names then some new face might be elected as the Legislative leader. In the meantime, the saffron party has asked its MLAs not to speak to media till the meeting and give their reactions.
