Hindu Parishad Woman Leader Joins Tribal Women’s Protest To Shut Down Liquor Shop | FPJ
Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): The provincial president of Hindu Parishad, Preeti Dhandharia, has joined a group of angry local women protesting against the opening of a liquor shop in a tribal-dominated colony.
For the past month, women residents have been staging demonstrations, claiming the liquor shop has led to a rise in harassment cases and anti-social activities in the area.
Calling the shop an "attack on the dignity of women," Dhandharia said, "The condition of the colony is already bad, and the liquor shop has worsened the situation. This protest is necessary to save the society."
Protesters are demanding the immediate closure of the shop, stating they will not back down until their concerns are addressed.
Despite repeated appeals, the administration has taken no action, prompting demonstrators to gather in large numbers outside the liquor shop located at Bade Patthar and raise slogans demanding its closure.
According to the local women, Parshuram Basti lacks proper road facility, electricity, clean drinking water and despite all such grave issues the administration opens up a liquor shop in the middle of the colony.
