Heavy Rain Damages Crops On 20 Bighas Of Land In Morena
As per official data, Morena received 502.7 mm of rainfall from June 1 to July 18, 245.4 mm more than the same period last year.

Morena (Madhya Pradesh): Due to heavy rain in Morena district, a temporary dam between Burawali and Kashipur villages in the Joura area broke, leading to major crop loss on nearly 20 bighas of land.
Water from the broken dam flooded nearby farmlands, destroying standing soybean and sesame crops.
According to information, the strong water current washed away the crops within minutes.
Affected farmers, including Adiram Jatav, Makhan Kushwaha, and Malkhan Kushwaha, said they had taken loans for seeds, fertilizers, and labour. Now, with their crops ruined, they are demanding compensation.

Villagers alleged that the dam was in poor condition for a long time, and authorities failed to repair it despite repeated complaints.
“If the dam had been fixed earlier, our crops could have been saved,” a farmer said.
As per official data, Morena received 502.7 mm of rainfall from June 1 to July 18, 245.4 mm more than the same period last year.
Morena tehsil recorded the highest rainfall at 615 mm, followed by Sabalgarh (607 mm), Porsa (597 mm), Joura (461 mm), Kailaras (369 mm), and Ambah (367 mm).
