Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): Panic spread in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior after locals spotted two bodies floating in a pond near the village, on Sunday.
According to information, the incident took place in Sukhpath village of Dabra. The matter was immediately reported to Pichhor police station, following which a team reached at the spot and with the help of villagers, recovered the bodies.
The 2 deceased were identified as Malkhan Adivasi, a resident of Jarasi village, and his wife, Guddi Adivasi. The couple had recently been living at Guddi’s maternal home in Sukhpath.

According to relatives, the couple had been missing since previous day. Guddi’s parents assumed they had gone to Jarasi but their bodies were discovered the next day in the village pond.
Police sent the bodies to the Civil Hospital in Dabra for postmortem and began questioning family members and villagers. After the autopsy, the bodies were handed over to the family for last rites.
Station in-charge Balwinder Dhillon confirmed that the findings show both were residents of Jarasi and had been staying in Guddi’s maternal home. “We received information about two bodies lying on the pond bank. They have been recovered and sent for postmortem. The matter is under investigation, and every possible angle will be examined,” he said.
