Girl Jumps From Gwalior Fort To End Life; Viral Video Shows Her Sitting In Fear Midway
Police have said that once the woman recovers and becomes fit to talk, they will record her statement.

Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): A woman tried to end her life by jumping from the Gwalior fort on Saturday.
A video of the incident has also gone viral on social media, possibly recorded by tourists present at the fort.
In the clip, the girl can be seen sitting midway on the rocky slope with her legs folded and her eyes covered with her hands, as if she was too scared to look down at the deep gorge below.

According to information, she jumped from the Light and Sound Point at Gwalior Fort. Tourists present at the spot were shocked to see the incident and immediately informed the police.
Constable Rishi Singh Tomar, posted at the fort police post, rushed to the spot. With the help of people nearby, he went down the fort cliff using a rope and found the woman still alive. He then informed senior officers and called the Nagar Nigam rescue team.
After nearly one and a half hours of rescue efforts, the woman was finally pulled up to safety with the help of ropes and the rescue team.
Police officials said that Constable Rishi Singh Tomar’s quick action and courage saved the woman’s life, as without timely help she could have slipped further into the deep gorge below and the incident could have turned fatal.
The woman suffered multiple injuries during the fall and was later admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment. Doctors confirmed that her condition is stable, and she is now out of danger.
Police have said that once the woman recovers and becomes fit to talk, they will record her statement.
The investigation will focus on finding out the exact reason that led her to attempt suicide at the historic fort, which was crowded with tourists at the time of the incident.
