Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Police are investigating multiple angles — including monetary dispute, property issues and illicit relations — in the murder of engineer Kapil Sharma (46), whose body was found four days ago inside his car at a deserted location in Sukhi Sewania.
Sharma had been missing since July 3, the night his wife Richa Sharma returned from her parents’ house and found him absent. When repeated calls to him went unanswered, she lodged a missing complaint the same night.
His swollen and decomposed body was discovered on July 6 near Bijasen farms in Zahir Peer village, after Sukhi Sewania police received a tip-off. Initially, no external injuries were visible, but the autopsy later confirmed his throat had been slit with a sharp-edged weapon. Investigators have found that Kapil was last seen with his friend Deepak Kushwaha around 10 pm on July 3.
Deepak is currently being questioned, though officials said that other suspects are also under the scanner. Senior officers said that police are probing financial disputes, personal enmity and illicit relationship angles as possible motives.
