Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): A heated dispute broke out in Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior, which escalated into stone-pelting, stick attacks, and even bullet firing in the air, as reported by police on Sunday.
According to information, the incident took place in Gudri Mohalla over the construction of a plot. Jayanthi Bijolia had started construction on her plot. This is when neighbor Chotu Shakya and his family objected.
This led to an argument between the two groups, which quickly worsened. The members of Chotu Shakya’s family allegedly attacked Jayanthi Bijolia and her relatives with stones and sticks.
It is alleged that the accused threw stones from the roof and fired two gunshots in the air. Fortunately, no life was lost in the incident.
Visuals of the incident also surfaced on social media on Sunday, showing women shouting abuses and throwing stones. The victim has handed over the video to the police.
Based on the complaint and video evidence, police have registered a case against five people - Chotu Shakya, Manish Shakya, Manisha Shakya, Kunal Shakya, and Sunita.
According to officials, the dispute started over plot construction and the group ended-up in a violent clash.
Further action will be taken on the basis of findings of investigation.
