Congress To Lay Siege To MP Assembly On Dec 16 Over Unresolved Public Issues, Says Meenakshi Natrajan In Bhopal
Speaking at a press conference today, Natrajan stated that the move is aimed at waking up the ruling BJP government from its slumber.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Senior Congress leader and former Member of Parliament Meenakshi Natrajan announced that the Congress party will lay siege to the Madhya Pradesh Assembly on December 16 to highlight burning issues concerning public interest.
Speaking at a press conference today at PCC (Pradesh Congress Committee), Natrajan stated that the move is aimed at waking up the ruling BJP government from its slumber. Over 50,000 Congress workers, along with senior party leaders, will participate in the gherao of the assembly on the first day of the winter session.

Natrajan accused the BJP government of failing to address the concerns of various sections of society, including farmers, tribals, women, and youth. She pointed out that the BJP had yet to fulfill its promise of doubling farmers' incomes, while people continue to suffer from heavy taxes in multiple forms.
On women's safety, Natrajan highlighted that 2,319 rape incidents were reported in the state in just seven months, including over 150 cases of gang rape. She also mentioned a specific case in Mhow, where a woman, a friend of an army officer, was raped.
Addressing the plight of youth, Natrajan criticised the BJP for not creating enough job opportunities, forcing young people to struggle for employment. She also noted a significant rise in atrocities against Dalits.
The Congress leader further slammed the BJP for its failure to manage inflation, which has made life difficult for the common people. Natrajan added that the BJP had not fulfilled any of its election promises, including providing Rs 3,000 per month to Ladli Behna beneficiaries. She also accused the BJP government of opposing the caste census.
Natrajan's remarks came during a press conference held at the Congress office today.
