Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has hinted at not seeking resignation from Vijay Shah.
He made such indications at a press conference on Thursday. The government will act according to the SC order, Yadav said after Tiranga Yatra.
“We have always followed the court orders,” he said.
The Congress does not have the right to seek Shah’s resignation.
The party should seek resignation from Siddaramaiah. Even Congress ministers are facing court cases, he said.
Yadav further said when Arvind Kejriwal was the chief minister he had gone to jail and the Congress stood by him.
Notably, during a public event in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh’s minister Vijay Shah allegedly called Colonel Sofiya Qureshi— who briefed media about Operation Sindoor that was carried out by the Indian Armed Forces at terrorist hideouts in Pakistan, sister of the terrorists. A suo moto case was registered following nationwide criticism. The Supreme Court, on Thursday, also reprimanded Minister Shah and ordered him to apologise for his ‘insensitive and unacceptable’ remarks against the Indian Army Colonel. It states that people holding constitutional positions must exercise restraint in speech. “Go and apologise,” the apex court said.
