CM Mohan Yadav Pays Tribute To Gondwana Queen Rani Durgavati

Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Tuesday paid tributes to Gondwana queen Rani Durgavati on her 462nd martyrdom day at the Samadhi Sthal, Narrai Nala, about 19 kilometres from the city.
Amidst chants of ‘Rani Durgavati Amar Rahein (Long Live Rani Durgavati)’, the Chief Minister garlanded the statue of the Queen at the memorial site. He also offered floral tributes to Rani Durgavati’s son, Veer Narayan, and performed a puja for Badadev, the revered deity of the tribal community.
Earlier, on arriving at the memorial site, the Chief Minister greeted members of the tribal community. He was welcomed by Baiga tribal dance troupes from Mohgaon in the Mandla district and Karanjia in the Dindori district.
They presented Baiga and Karma dances. The CM sat on the ground with the Baiga dance troupe members and played the drums. He met the members of the Baiga dance troupe and took selfies with them on his mobile phone. He also announced a sum of Rs 5,000 for each member of the dance troupe.
