Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Health department sealed two clinics on Tuesday, which were treating patients beyond their prescribed permit and medical qualification.
At Dentocare Multi Specialty Dental and Cosmetic Centre situated in Bag Sewania area, treatment for skin diseases and hair re-growth was being given by the dentist. This clinic was not registered under Nursing Home and Clinic Establishment Act.
Biomedical waste certificate and MP Pollution Control Board certificate were also not found in the clinic. The team of CMHO office has shut down its operations in absence of registration and treatment of skin and hair problems without a dermatologist.

The inspection team has also sealed Apex Clinic running in Ashoka Garden where a homeopath prescribed allopathy medicines. The operator had not even got the clinic registered. The department has closed such clinics in the past as well.
During the inspection, the degree of persons practicing medicine, medical system, council registration, MP Hospital and Radiotherapy Establishment Act, Biomedical Waste Management Act, Gumashta licence are being checked.
Chief Medical and Health Officer Bhopal Dr Prabhakar Tiwari said, “Private medical practitioners should practice medicine only after obtaining all the permissions prescribed by the government and under their prescribed system, otherwise legal action will be taken against them.”
