Bhopal: Three Held For Firing Gunshots To Create Terror; Rifle, SUV Seized; Footages Of Over 100 CCTV Cameras Scanned To Identify The Youths |
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Ayodhya Nagar police on Wednesday arrested three youths who fired gunshots in the air to create terror among locals on Monday night.
The SUV and the firearm used in the crime have also been seized, police said. All accused are in age group of 20-24 years.
Additional DCP Mahaveer Singh Mujalde said three persons in a black SUV reached a residential colony in Ayodhya Nagar late Monday night. One of them took out a rifle from the SUV and fired multiple shots in the air.
Panic prevailed among the locals upon hearing gunshots at midnight. Police also reached the spot on receiving information but the miscreants had fled by then.

The footage of the incident also went viral on social media platforms. Multiple police teams were roped in to identify and trace the miscreants and footages of over 100 CCTV cameras were scanned to identify them.
On Wednesday police arrested the trio who were identified as Anshu Gurjar (20) of Nishatpura, Rishabh Kumar Sharma (22) of Ayodhya Nagar and Mohit Maheshwari (24) of Shannti Nagar. The rifle and the SUV belong to Anshu who runs a travel business, police officials said.
