Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Acting on the directives of district administration, Bhopal Municipal Corporation on Friday demolished structures in an illegal colony being developed in Pipaliya Kunjangarh village in Kolar tehsil.

The land was being developed under the name, Maa Ganga Krishi Farm House. The demolition was carried out under the direction of Kolar SDM Aditya Jain in presence of administrative and police personnel in addition to tehsildars.

According to SDM Jain, an illegal colony was being developed on survey numbers 72 and 73, covering a total area of approximately 1.10 hectares. The estimated market value of the land is Rs 2 crore.

During the demolition, unauthorised construction including internal roads, drainage lines, and other permanent structures within the colony were razed.

Officials confirmed that the development lacked approval and there was land abuse. The administration reiterated its commitment to take strict action against illegal colonisation and warned developers of action against unuathorised structures, SDM Jain said.
