Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A student-cum-cab driver was brutally thrashed and his car was vandalised by a group of youths in Bhopal on Wednesday night. The incident took place in the middle of the road in the Lalghati area.
The main accused is said to have connections with the BJP. He, along with his friends, attacked the cab driver after he parked his car in front of their Scorpio.
A video of the altercation has gone viral on social media, showing the youths damaging the car and thrashing the driver ruthlessly. The vehicle bore a BJP flag and a VIP hooter, indicating the owner's link with the saffron party.

According to information, the victim, identified as Gaurav Raikwar, is a cab driver and is a resident of the city. He had gone to a dhaba in the Khajuri area on the occasion of Christmas. The altercation began when Raikwar parked his car in front of the accused's car in front of a dhabha.
When the accused asked him to move his vehicle, Raikwar asked for a few minutes. Feeling offended by the 'audacity,' the accused started hurling abuses at the victim and thrashed him. The fight escalated to an extent where the accused started vandalising the victim's car.

Onlookers recorded videos of the altercation and uploaded them on social media. The video is going rapidly viral. In the video it can be seen that the accused's car adorned a BJP flag on the hood of the car. The car also has a hooter installed at the roof.
Koh-e-fiza The police have taken cognisance of the case and have begun an investigation. The victim has filed a complaint against the accused. Efforts are underway to identify and nab the accused.
