Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): In response to a recent alleged 'Love Jihad' case in Bhopal, Muslim religious leaders have strongly condemned the incident and distanced Islam from such acts.

It has been reported that the accused in the case, Farhan, allegedly said, “Raping Hindu girls is ‘sawab’ (rewarded) in Islam.”

Religious leaders called this statement false and deeply offensive, and said it has no place in Islam or any religion.

They stated clearly that Islam does not allow anything like ‘Love Jihad’ and that such actions go completely against Islamic teachings.

City Qazi Syed Mushtaq Ali Nadvi and City Mufti Abul Kalam Qasmi released statements condemning the accused's actions and demanding strict punishment.

Qazi Nadvi said that Islam is a pure religion that supports only truth and goodness. He added that the idea of “Love Jihad” has no connection with Islam and anyone who justifies such acts in the name of religion does not truly understand Islam.

He further said that immoral acts like adultery are strictly forbidden in Islam and even looking at a non-related woman with wrong intentions is considered sinful. “Those who try to justify such actions by using religion are not only disrespecting Islam, but also ruining their own lives,” he said.

Mufti Abul Kalam Qasmi also gave a strong reaction. He said such acts are serious sins in Islam and anyone who commits them should face strict legal action. Both leaders appealed to the media to avoid sharing or promoting such sensitive news without proper confirmation, as it can create unnecessary tension.
