Bhopal Municipal Corporation Launches Massive Post Holi Sanitation Drive

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) has launched a massive cleaning drive just after Holi. Holi procession was taken out in many colonies in Bhopal.
But Hindu Utsav Samiti had taken Holi procession from Old Bhopal.
So entire areas through which procession passed, have been cleaned. However, for the time-being markets have been cleaned and for colonies, BMC administration has deployed sanitation workers to clear festival waste from colonies.
RK Baghel, MIC member said, ‘Swachh Survekshan inspection team is frequently visiting Bhopal.

So, BMC has launched massive cleaning drive after Holi and same will be done after Rangpanchami. Markets have been cleaned in the same night of Holi. In colonies, sanitation workers have been deployed to clear waste and maintain the city’s sanitation rankings.
To manage this surge, 465 garbage collection vehicles have been mobilised.
The Municipal Commissioner has also ordered immediate removal of waste piles, ensuring that public spaces remain clean after celebrations.’ Udit Garg, BMC superintending engineer (water works) said, ‘From the same night of Holi, we have started cleaning roads specially in markets. In colonies, sanitation teams have been instructed to clear waste after Holi celebrations. Our teams are working for proper sanitation and cleaning of city.’
