Bhopal: GIS Over; Restrictions On Tourists To IGRMS Continue
They cannot move around freely on the premises of the museum and they can’t even click photographs.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Restrictions on tourists visiting Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya (IGRMS) continued even though Global Investors Summit (GIS) 2025 is over.
They cannot move around freely on the premises of the museum and they can’t even click photographs.
The entry of visitors to the museum from Gate 2, located in Boat Club area, was restricted on Wednesday.
People were not allowed to visit 50-acre land around Aavritti area of IGRMS, which was earmarked for two-day GIS. They are permitted to visit only the area from Veetihi Sankul to Himalayan Village.
A guard deployed in Aavritti area told Free Press that there were strict orders from Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation, which hosted GIS, that they shouldn’t allow any visitor to move around the area and click photographs without a proper reason.
A driver of an E-golf cart at the museum said they were not permitted to take tourists. “I am a museum staffer. I have only permission to take tourists from Gate No. 1 to Vitihi Sankul to Himalayan Village area,” he said, adding, “I think the reason may be that the structures erected for GIS are being dismantled. It may take around one more week for work to complete.”
“We have been facing such restrictions for past one month due to GIS. Earlier, there was GIS event. Now, we can’t go as dismantling work is on,” said Pragya Mishra, a visitor.
