Robust medical infra remains a problem!
It was on dark night of December 3 1984, when gas leakage was reported form a plant of Union Carbide factory in Bhopal. 40 years on, the victims continue to suffer from medical problems like respiratory issues and neurological disorders. A robust medical infrastructure to cater to special needs of the gas victim remains a challenge here. Even though AIIMS-Bhopal boasts specialist doctors, gas tragedy survivors have atleast 3-month waiting period. (FPJ)
