Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Fraudsters decamped with drone cameras and other equipment worth several lakhs of rupees from the staff of an event management company.
An FIR has been registered in this connection at Mangalwara police station on Monday. According to reports, Aniket Kumar Chaudhary of Chhatarpur runs an event company, which shoots videos and photographs at weddings and other functions.
In his complaint given to police, Aniket said he received a call from one Anurag Karma who called him to Bhopal for shooting a wedding in return of Rs 42,000. Aniket and his four aides reached Bhopal on Sunday after receiving Rs 5,000 as advance sum.

A person named Rupesh met them at Rani Kamlapati Railway station and took them to a hotel in Mangalwara area. Rupesh lodged with shooting team in one of the rooms. He then asked Aniket and others to accompany him for dinner at a restaurant at Nadra Bus Stand.
Aniket informed that Rupesh left on some pretext while they were taking dinner and switched off his phone. Aniket called Anurag Karma but his phone was also switched off. The team then returned to the hostel and were shocked to find their cameras, drone camera, bounce lights, laptop and other equipment missing.
Rupesh and another person were seen taking away their equipment in the CCTV footages at the hotel. Police officials said that efforts were underway to trace and arrest the culprits.
