Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The college run by Congress MLA Arif Masood, operating under Aman Education Society, was found to have functioned using fake documents.
Higher Education Minister Inder Singh Parmar informed the Assembly on Tuesday that an FIR will now be registered in the case.
The college had its recognition cancelled in 2025 following a probe by the Higher Education Department. Parmar’s statement came in response to a question by Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar, who said the government was reluctant to table the final investigation report. Singhar demanded that the report be placed before the House.
Parmar detailed the findings, revealing that a complaint was received in 2024, triggering a full inquiry. The probe found that two solvency certificates were not issued at all, and four solvency-related registries were fake. Based on this, recognition was withdrawn in 2025.
“All documents of the college were bogus,” Parmar said. He said that while the Collector had earlier been instructed to lodge an FIR, the Higher Education Department initially held off to ensure proper procedure. Now, a final decision has been made to proceed with legal action.
