Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): In the ongoing probe into a drug syndicate busted two days ago, Crime Branch has identified at least five clubs where Yaseen frequently organised parties. Youths, including girls, consumed drugs supplied by Yaseen and his uncle Shahwar at these events.Officials said action will be taken against clubs found involved in illegal activities.

On Friday, police rounded up 10 more suspects connected to the syndicate. These detainees are suspected to have worked as peddlers for Yaseen’s network.

Primary investigations have indicated a possible connection between Yaseen and Farhan Khan, prime accused in a rape and blackmail case at TIT College. However, police are yet to find concrete links between the two, officials said.

Police are questioning Mohit Baghel, manager of Club 90, where Farhan reportedly took victims for sexual exploitation. The club is allegedly owned by Yaseen’s uncle Shariq Machhli, whose name surfaced in the rape and blackmail case.Shariq’s close aide Gaurav Chauhan, detained for questioning, is said to be close to an MLA’s son and often posts photos with political leaders and influential figures.

Crime Branch officials also found suspicious transactions after scanning bank accounts of Yaseen and Shahwar. Police may question those involved in these payments.

Custody extended, raids continue

Shahwar’s custody remand extended by two days. After disclosing he sourced MD from Rajasthan, police took him there for raids. Authorities will take him again to Rajasthan to track down dealers linked to him.

Doctor on the run

Police are hunting Dr. Rahim Malik, reportedly close to Yaseen. Malik allegedly encouraged gym-goers to use MD to lose weight by suppressing hunger.

Molestation FIR against Yaseen

In January, a girl filed an FIR accusing Yaseen of molestation and threats. She alleges Yaseen sent her fiancé to jail and harassed her. Yaseen was released on personal bond since the charge carries less than seven years’ imprisonment. Police also found past records related to Yaseen and his family at other stations.

Victim accuses Shariq, aides

A girl approached police, alleging rape and exploitation by Divyansh Ahirwar, Shariq Machhli and Mohit Baghel. The victim first filed a rape FIR against Ahirwar in December last year; he was arrested and jailed. She later registered a harassment case in February and accused them of possessing obscene videos of other girls. Investigation was handed over to MP Nagar police.

Interstate Drug Trail

Police questioning from Yaseen and Shahwar revealed that the duo was involved in smuggling drugs from Rajasthan via road transport. Once the narcotics reached Bhopal, it was distributed to trusted clients in pubs and lounges across the city.

Girls were often used for substance deliveries and in exchange they were given free doses of the drugs. The crime branch will now take the duo to Rajasthan for further investigation. Moreover, evidence from Yaseen's mobile phone has revealed his link with Punjab and Mumbai drug networks.

A popular social media influencer from Mumbai had visited Bhopal to attend a party on Yaseen's invitation, and revealed a video in his mobile.

Cops take Shahwar to his house

Police on Friday night took Shahwar to Budhwara area for searching his residence. As police vehicle could not enter the narrow lanes, he was taken to his house on foot. A large number of locals gathered to the spot as cops whisked him away after the search.
