Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Congress leaders took out a Tiranga Yatra led by state party president Jitu Patwari in support of Indian Army’s ongoing action against Pakistan under Operation Sindoor, here on Friday.

The Tiranga Yatra began from Shivaji Maharaj Square in front of Red Cross Hospital to Shaurya Smarak. A large number of party leaders and workers marched with the National Flag, expressing solidarity with the security forces and sending out a message of unity during the ongoing border conflict with Pakistan.

Patwari said that the Congress party supports the action of the Indian army. ‘We have invited all sections of the society… We want to salute our armed forces and stand in solidarity with the country… I am pleased that within a short period, a large number of people, including retired armed forces personnel and students participated’.

‘It is the duty of every citizen to support ‘Operation Sindoor’ being carried out by the Indian armed forces in retaliation for Pahalgam terrorist attack’, he said.

Former Chief Minister Digvijaya Singh said that one thing has been proved that Pakistan has been giving shelter to terrorists, ‘We are proud that our country's intelligence and RAW correctly identified the hideouts of terrorists and our target hit the right spot’. Leader of Opposition (LoP) Umang Singhar said, ‘This is a commendable action.

I think the army is working strongly. Pakistan is scared in front of the Indian Army. The Congress Party has taken out a yatra to boost morale of the Indian armed forces. Workers of the state have come from every district. We salute the army. The morale of the army should remain high. The entire Congress party is with the army of the country.
