Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A Bangladeshi national was rounded up by the police illegally living in Budhwara area of Bhopal for past many years in the guise of a transgender (kinnar).
It is alleged that the Bangladeshi national identified as Abdul Kalam changed his identity and was living with a pseudo name of Neha. He had even forged identification documents in the new name. Abdul will be deported following investigations, police officials said.
According to reports, based on intelligence inputs Abdul Kalam aka Neha was taken into custody some days back. He has been kept under high security at Talaiya police station where he is being questioned regarding his activities in the city during the past few years.
Police officials said that it was being investigated if Abdul was involved in suspicious activities and persons with whom he was in contact with. His mobile phone, call records, social media accounts and chats were also being scanned to ascertain if he has cross-border contacts.
Moreover, investigation was also being carried out regarding persons who helped Abdul in getting a forged Aadhaar card in the name of Neha and those who sheltered him, police officials added.
